BT – Babylonian Talmud

Deut. – Deuteronomy. Lasot of the books of the Torah.

EH – Even HaEzer – A section of the Shulchan Aruch that deals with Family Law.

Ex. – Exodus – Second of the five books of the Torah

Gen. – Genesis. First of the five books of the Torah.

HM – Hoshen Mishpat – A section of the Shulchan Aruch that deals with Civil Law.

JT – Jerusalem Talmud

Lev. – Leviticus – Third of the five books of the Torah.

OH – Orech Hayyim – A section of the Shulchan Aruch that deals with daily rituals, prayers and blessings, Shabbat  and festivals.

MT – Mishneh Torah. Maimonides code of Jewish law.

Num. – Numbers – Fourth of the five books of the Torah.

YD – Yore daiya – A section of the Shulchan Aruch that deals with Ritual laws such as Kashrut
